Data governance is the system of decision rights and accountabilities for information-related processes.
This is a big step beyond the predecessor known as data administration. Moving from administration to governance broadens the scope and has implications for many aspects of data management including cost, value, quality, security, privacy, regulatory compliance, and maturity of data management practices.
Ultimately, data governance is a foundational data management discipline that seeks to govern the behaviour of people and teams using data to ensure that business policies are followed

In order to meet CIMP requirements, you must complete Data Governance Fundamentals and at least two other "core" courses. Please note: How to Deploy Data Governance Parts 1 & 2 must be taken together. If you wish to take additional core courses, please choose them as one of your electives.
